Helen Ann Zogata, 94, Peplin, died, Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Evergreen Park, Kronenwetter.
She was born March 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara “Pas” Boron. She married Florian Samsel on October 16, 1945, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peplin. He preceded her in death on Aug. 06, 1963. She married George Zogata on Aug. 27, 1966. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1985.
Helen loved spending time with her family, and was always so proud of their accomplishments. She enjoyed watching the “Price Is Right”, going to the casino, playing pinochle, and bingo. Helen loved polkas and country music, and could play several instruments. She was a good cook, and her family thoroughly enjoyed her cooking of traditional polish food.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan (John Probst) Guarneri, Sally (Dennis) Holzem, Pamela (Roger) Swatloski; eight grandchildren, Steven (Elizabeth) Deutch, Kathryn Deutch, Jessica (Will) Kirkpatrick, Heather (Darin) Zunker, Nick Holzem, Jaclyn Swatloski, Jamie (Brian) Charneski, Ryan (Rachel) Swatloski; eight great grandchildren, Brodi, Cole, Payton, Lucy, Carly, Jada, Abigale, Sophie; one sister, Jean Olszewski, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Peter, Casimer, Tony, and Stanley, and three sisters, Verna, Julia, and Mary.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Peplin. The Rev. James Arthur will officiate. Burial will be at St. John the Baptist cemetery, Peplin. Visitation will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. until time of services, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.bestefh.com
