Thomas Norbert Young

Thomas N. Young, 71, Mosinee, went home to be with the Lord on Sept 1, 2021. Tom was born on Nov. 12, 1949, the son of Norbert Young and the late Edna Mae (Davis). He married the love of his life Sue Kunkel on Aug 3, 1974.

Tom’s greatest joys in life were his family and friends, being an elder at church and his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Like a good neighbor, Tom faithfully served Mosinee as the State Farm Insurance agent for 43 years where he made many community connections. Tom loved traveling, going out to eat, and watching his favorite hometown teams (Go Packers). He also enjoyed mowing and caring for his lawn and being outdoors. Tom loved people and was known for his generous heart, big smile, and outgoing personality.

Besides his wife, Sue, and his father, Norbert, Tom is survived by his children, Jenni (Jon), Sonia (Matt), Melanie (Mark), Allison (Ryan) and 15 grandchildren. As well as his 7 brothers and sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s name can be directed to the family, as they will be partnering with a local nonprofit to help families in crisis.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Good News Baptist Church, Mosinee. Pastor Jay O’Conner will officiate. The service will be live streamed on the church website at www.goodnews-wi.org. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m to 8 p.m, at the church.
