Jeffrey “Ollie” A. Yirkovsky, 53, Mosinee, died Wednesday, Oct 16, 2018, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Wausau, the son of the late Thomas and Beverley (Abel) Yirkovsky. He married Renee Schmidt on April 14, 2008, in Jamaica. She survives.
Ollie loved life. He was always hunting, fishing or camping when he wasn’t driving truck for Kolbe & Kolbe. He was the hardest worker. He enjoyed watching sports, racing and concerts with friends, and loved to travel with family.
Ollie was a devoted husband and father, even to those kids who weren’t his own. He had a generous heart, he spent his life taking care of his family and always helping others. Words cannot express how much he will be missed.
Survivors, besides his wife, Renee, include his two sons, Jordan Schmidt and Kyle Yirkovsky, both of Mosinee; and seven brothers and sisters, Pam (Dave Reed) Krcmar and Mary (Don) Thompson, both of Mosinee, Jerry (Joan Flory) Yirkovsky, Rothschild, Jim (Vicky) Yirkovsky, Mosinee, Jean (Ray) Kaluzny, Weyauwega, Kay (Arne) Cegielski, Waukesha, and Mark (Tina) Yirkovsky, Mosinee. He was preceded in death by a brother, John.
At Ollie’s request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ollie’s name can be directed to The Dancy Walkers, 146132 Cty. Rd. C, Mosinee, WI 54455.
