William "Bill" Kenneth Muelling

William “Bill” Kenneth Muelling, 86, Mosinee, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under Hospice Care.

He was born on February 25, 1938, in Phillips, WI, the son of the late William H. and Edna (Halberg) Muelling.  Bill married the love of his live Anna (Korab) on October 5, 1963.  They had 46 happy years of marriage before her passing in 2010.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was fortunate enough to go on the honor flight.

Bill was a plasterer and heavy equipment operator, retiring from Kafka Granite in 2000.  In retirement he was active in the Mosinee United Methodist Church, you could frequently find him making pancakes for various events.  He enjoyed locksmithing, woodworking, hunting, making homemade wine, fishing, and socializing.  Bill was proud to be able to make and give wooden creations to his children and grandchildren.  He often said he was a “jack of all trades, and master of none”.

Bill is survived by his children, Ken (Nicole) Muelling and Deb (Dan) Schumacher; his six grandchildren, Britney Weinkauf, Will Muelling, Heather (Mark) Boatman, Matt (Wendy) Schumacher, Kristen (Cody) Wolfert and Aaron Schumacher, step grandchildren, Spencer and Sterling Wentworth; his great grandchildren, Autumn Weinkauf, Brynnlee Boatman, Lexi and Mia Schumacher, and Elsie and Blake Wolfert, step great grandchildren, Kaliah Wentworth; his sister, Janet Reinke; sister in law, Betty Muelling; and brother in law, Ken Hofmann; as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Besides his loving wife and parents, his was preceded in death by his siblings; Marvel Cole, Joyce Curry, Harold Muelling, Kathi Zimmerman and infant siblings, Helen, Leslie and Larry.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Mosinee United Methodist Church.  Pastor Banze Kyabuntu will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service, all at the church.  Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
