Ronald J. Weyer, 82, died on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at home.
Ron was born on June 18, 1939, in Kronenwetter, WI. The son of the late Leo and Hattie (Gosiewski) Weyer. He married Shirley M. Wisneski on Aug. 29, 1959, in Menominee, MI, together they shared 62 years of marriage, she survives.
Anyone that knew Ron knew of his talent and love of playing his trumpet. He began his musical career at a very young age and didn’t retire until he was almost 80 years old.
After playing with his H.S. Band, his college Band, and very proudly with his U.S. Army Band he began doing what he aspired to all his life: playing old time music with his own band and many other very fine polka bands in the area.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; one son, Dana (Lori) Weyer, Kronenwetter; grandchild, Maverick Weyer, Kronenwetter; great-grandchildren, Jade and Jordyn Weyer; two sisters, Barbara (Terry) Davczyk, Mosinee, and LuVayne Heiberg, Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Charmaine (Bob) Schieler and brother Edmond Weyer.
