Rita Warner

February 9, 1931 — April 17, 2018

Rita Mae (Annen) Warner, age 87 was called by her Savior on Tuesday April 17, 2018, born February 9, 1931. She was the daughter of James and Cora Ward, Mosinee and Herman and June Lemke of Medford.

Rita’s early years were spent in Medford, than moving to Rib Lake, for High School. She learned to play the piano and French horn, this was the start of her love of music, especially the piano. It was there she met and married the love of her life Rodney Warner, they were united in marriage on July 3,1948. Together they raised 7 children. Rita worked as a housewife/mother most of her life. Her most important role in life was being a Mom and Grandma. Rita’s devotion to her children and entire family was evident in everything she did. Her passion was her family and she was the rock and the glue that held the family together. Rita instilled values in her children always putting the family first, by protecting and loving them always. She had many jobs later outside of her home, Mosinee Bakery, Mosinee Times, St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Secretary and at the Piggly Wiggly. She enjoyed each job because of the wonderful people she met and the hugs she received. She enjoyed her bowling team and the tournaments away with the girls. Rita loved to camp and spend as much time as possible, in Phillips, at Brian’s cabin. In any spare time, you could find her sewing, knitting, doing cross stitch, crossword puzzles and cooking. Her memory will be cherished by many people whose lives were touched by her generosity, love and frequent gifts of baked goods.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband Rodney Warner, daughters Bethany Weber, Deborah Warner(infant), son Scott Warner, a Grandson Jameson Rieck, and her two siblings Franklin Lemke and Betty Prohaska.

She is survived by her children Trudy (Richard) Fink, of Oak Harbor, WA, Peggy (David) Kowalski, Todd(Lynn) Warner, Brian Warner, Natalie (John) Rieck all of Mosinee. There are 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren each one was her special joy.
