Margaret Ann Vanish (Kessler)

Margaret A. Vanish, 90, of Mosinee died on Friday, January 20, 2017, at her home.

She was born in Mosinee, on July 21, 1926 to the late Joseph and Ida (Rindfleisch) Kessler. She married Raymond Vanish on Dec. 1, 1945 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2004.

She was a member of the Mosinee VFW Auxiliary 8733, and the Wausau American Legion Auxiliary Post 10. She worked for many years at the Mosinee Telephone Company, providing their cleaning service. Her role as mother and grandmother was her highest priority, and being with her family was what she enjoyed most.

Survivors, include her children; Raymond Jr (Jan) Vanish, Humansville, MO, Robert Vanish, James (Jan) Vanish, Debra (Roy) Syring, all of Mosinee, Janet (Walter) Delis, Stratford, WI, Nancy (Leo) Namtzu, Medford, WI, and Sheri (Robert Gebert) Vanish, Fifield, WI. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Kurt (Rhonda) Piotrowski, Tracy (Chip) Bazemore, Racheal (Jeff Benson) Vanish, Ryan (Natalie) Vanish, Richard (Rachael) Vanish, Jennifer Wogernese, Michael (Cheryl) Wogernese, Joshua (Amanda) Wogernese, Lucas (Leann) Wogernese, William (Abby) Wogernese, Clint (Jessica) Wogernese, Rebecca (James) Hull, Tina Vanish, Tanya (Flint) Hady, and Nathan Gebert, and 21 great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings; Anna Meyer, Springstead, WI, Donald “Jack” Kessler, Mercer, WI, Darlene Cartwright, Mosinee, WI, and Adeline Vick, Wausau, WI, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by; one son, Roger Vanish; and two daughters, Alice Piotrowski, and Carol Wogernese, her grandson Chad Wogernese, great-granddaughter Cordelia Wogernese, and her sisters Dorothy Tryba, Betty Crawford, and Hilda Belohlavek.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wed, January 25, 2017, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be Tuesday and start with a 5 p.m. VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service and will continue until 7 p.m. Visitation will be again from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
