Stanley “Stan” Krzanowski, 78, Mosinee, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Wood Aven, Wausau.
Stan was born on May 24, 1946, in Wausau, WI. Son of the late, Stanley P and Dorothy (Tomczak) Krzanowski.
Stan's favorite hobbies included cutting firewood, gardening and making salsa, the challenge of shooting trap, hunting for the big buck, attending farm and equipment auctions, and collecting tractors. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and watching baseball, The Brewers and Packers football.
Stan was known for being tuff on the outside but had a very soft and caring heart. He was very innovative, always looking to create a better solution for challenges at work or in his personal life.
Work life for Stan included Drott/Case, Owned and operated S & L Rail Car Repair, raised beef cattle, a variety of different animals, also had horses, dogs, and cats as pets, and planted/harvested many acres of croplands.
Stan is survived by his children; Rhonda (John) Ivaska, Troy (Laurie) Krzanowski, Jeff Krzanowski, and Christy (Krzanowski) Brewington; grandchildren, Katie, Becca, Riley, Courtney, Tiffany, Brandon, Tristan, Allisyn, and several great grandchildren; siblings, Connie (Dennis) Johnson-Rosiak, Edward Krzanowski, Peter (Criss) Krzanowski, Tim (Deb) Krzanowski, Darrell (Kathy) Krzanowski, Janet (Richard) Schneider, Nick (Chris) Krzanowski, Dale (Darlene) Krzanowski, and Susette (Bruce) Gunseor; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stan was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Vetrovec, sister-in-law Nancy Krzanowski, brother, David Krzanowski, nephew, Robin Johnson, niece, Sarah Schneider Kroening.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until the time of services, all at the church.
