Seth John Fochs passed away unexpectedly on October 18th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Seth was a cornerstone of his family, friends, and business and his absence is and will continue to be devastating to so many who loved him.
Seth was born on December 2, 1964, to Ralph and Cubby (Lillian) Fochs at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Wausau. He grew up nurturing his lifelong hobbies of hockey, duck hunting, deer hunting, and water skiing, most of which occurred at the family’s beloved cottage on the Eau Pleine. Seth had six siblings: Pam, Sherry, Mark, Paul, Beth, and Vicki.
On December 6, 1986, Seth married the love of his life, Tammy (Morris) Fochs at Saint Francis Xavier Church in Knowlton, WI. Together Seth and Tammy created a beautiful life together: building and remodeling their home on Half Moon Lake, traveling extensively, and raising their three children Jacob, Amber, and Austin. Seth made sure to instill his love of hockey, hunting, watersports, and traveling in his children (as well as clean cars, manicured lawns, and getting the best expiration date on bread and milk).
Seth and Tammy also have two grandchildren, August and Violet, who know Seth as their beloved “Bumpa”. One of Seth’s great joys was spending time with his grandchildren, taking them out for fun summer days on the pontoon, teaching August to fish, shoot his bow, and many other hobbies. Seth was looking forward to the birth of his third grandchild, Dahlia, in January.
In 1983 Seth became a salesman at Krueger Wholesale, which was the start of a long and successful career in the floral industry. His work ethic and determination have always been two of his defining characteristics and because of that, in 2003, Seth became Chief Operating Officer of the business and spearheaded its expansion of sales into the grocery industry alongside his close friend, Kevin Krueger. In 2019, Seth’s son Jacob joined the business as well.
Seth always enjoyed the tradition of hosting Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter for family and friends, which he did alongside his wife, Tammy. He was an incredibly generous and caring person, whose priority was always to take care of those he loved (and make sure they were all well fed with the house at the most perfectly comfortable temperature).
Seth is survived by his wife, Tammy, his three children Jacob Fochs, Amber (Michael) DeBroux, and Austin (Sophie) Fochs, his three grandchildren August, Violet, and Dahlia DeBroux, as well as his five siblings Pamela (Gary) Ida, Sherry (Scott) Klemm, Mark (Jocelyn) Fochs, Paul (Laura) Fochs, and Vicki (Glenn) Kowalski.
Seth is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Cubby Fochs, his sister, Beth, and his mother and father-in-law, John and Susan Morris.
