Robert Frank Maciejewski

July 8, 1937 — September 13, 2023

Mosinee

Robert “Bob” Maciejewski, 86, Mosinee, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born on July 8, 1937, in Mosinee, WI, son of the late Frank and Dora (Cartwright) Maciejewski.  He married Marcia Koskey on Feb. 16, 1957, at St. Paul Catholic Church, she survives.

Bob spent most of his working days as a truck driver, prior to trucking, he worked at the Mosinee Paper Mill for about 15 years.  In his early trucking days, he drove a semi, roll on 18 wheeler, roll on!  His children have fond memories of going on his long haul trips with him.  Then in later years, he drove a dump truck hauling mostly black top and gravel.  He loved driving so much he worked until he was 81 years old.  He always beamed when he talked about driving and all the guys he became friends with over the years.  A biproduct of his trucking antics was that his family learned to understand directions using North, South, East and West versus a simple turn right or left.

Bob’s favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting.  He was an amazing outdoors man, and shared his passion and love of those sports with his children and grandchildren.  Bob and Marcia’s pride and joy was their family, they love, cherish and are so proud of each and every one of them.  His family was so blessed to have him as a part of their lives and many, many family gatherings where he always led the prayer prior to the meal.  Bob loved all things polka related, he loved the Saturday and Sunday polka party on the radio and attended many festivals.  He was also a very lucky man, whenever he bought the arms length of raffle tickets, he was sure to win.  He also did pretty well in his Packer pools.  Bob was a member of the Army National Guards.  Bob had a relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he loved doing his daily devotions, and attended Good News Church.
