Richard R. Bacha, Jr., died on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Richard was born on April 21, 1956, in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Richard Sr and Lucy (Ciavarella) Bacha. He served in the US Air Force, where he met his wife, Michele. They were married in 1982. After completing college he went on to get his MBA, and then his PhD in Business Management. He taught for many years as an assistant professor at Penn State – York. He loved working on older cars and owned way too many.
He and his wife the former Michele P. Fochs, had two children, Annee Marie of Minneapolis and Jonathan Phillip of Warren, OH. He is also survived by a brother Steven and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved dog Brooke and cat White Kitty.
Rick and his wife had recently moved to Wisconsin to be closer to his wife’s family, mother-in-law Norma Fochs and other in-laws Kim (Wyatt) Witz, Terri (Joel) Van Guilder, Tami (Chris) Stevens, Leslie Fochs, and Scott Fochs. Besides his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis and sister, Karen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
