Patricia Ann Ostrowski

Patricia (Pat) Ann Ostrowski, 71, of Wausau, died November 03, 2023, at Mount view Care Center. She was born December 12^th, 1951, in Stevens Point.  She was the daughter of the late Victor and Genevieve (Dudzik) Ostrowski. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs high school in Stevens Point.

She married Henry Jr. David Meis on August 25, 1973, later divorced after 22 years of marriage on September 14, 1995, but remained friends.

Pat had worked at a few different places within Stevens Point, such as St. Michaels Hospital, Sentry Insurance, Fleet Farm, Kolbe & Kolbe in Wausau and then was able to retire. Pat loved spending time with family, she had a fondness for Christmas and church. She enjoyed crosswords, walks around town, reading, playing cards, fishing, and traveling. She liked watching the Green Bay Packers, hockey, football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and Soccer which her children had played, and grandchildren now play.

Pat was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She cared so deeply for the people that were closest to her. She was strong-willed, independent, and stubborn, yet sensitive and compassionate but those traits defined her. They were part of who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life’s challenges. She was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago. Pat was a fighter, but she is at peace now, free from pain. She will be forever missed.

She is survived by her children Cheryl Hanson Wausau, Mark Meis, Brad Meis, Ashley (Greg) Myszka all of Mosinee. Grandchildren; Angelica Meis, Hayden Hanson, Asher, Kipton and Everlyn Myszka. Also survived by her brothers and sisters; Chris (Mike) Kurzinski of Mosinee, Joanne (Maurice) King of Stevens Point, Dorothy (Nelson) Wise of Wausau, Lorraine (Jim) Wojdac of Mosinee, Dennis (Rhonda) Ostrowski of Stevens Point, Mike (Gerri) Ostrowski of Plover, Diane (Mike) Singer of Shantytown, Judy (Jerry) Stroik of Stevens Point & Kevin (Dee) Ostrowski of Stevens Point and many nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Genevieve, brothers Don, Kurt, sister Anita and ex-husband Henry.

The family would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Hospice Care and Mount View Care Center for the care of their mother.
