Homer M. Parson, 78, Mosinee, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Wausau, the son of the late William and Esther (Borth) Parson. He married Diane Wirsbinski on June 19, 1965. He then married Shelli Drake on Sept. 6, 1997.
Homer enjoyed being outdoors for the hunt, whether it be the big 12-point buck, the elusive Canadian muskellunge, or a great bargain at a local auction. He was also known for pulling one over on an unprepared target if the opportunity was right! He loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a strong work ethic and believed we should work hard for what we have. He taught us to go above and beyond what is expected of you each day, a job worth doing is a job worth doing well! Homer will be missed by many. You are always in our hearts.
Survivors, besides his wife, Shelli, include his daughters, Tracy (Russ) Leach and Angela (Troy) Krause; a step-daughter, Amber (Chris) McGuirk; his grandchildren, Jacob and Sierra, and Trevor and Payton; his step-grandchildren, Bryse, Rheiss, Demitri, Kenley, Emeliya, Amiyah, Max and Madelyn; a great-granddaughter, Franklyn; and a step-great-granddaughter, Lyla. He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Parson, born in May 1973 and died in March of 1974, three brothers, and two sisters.
