Nona Mae Ostrowski (Manley)

September 30, 1932 — March 11, 2021

Nona Mae (Manley) Ostrowski, 88, formerly of Mosinee, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Mt. View Care Center, Wausau, WI on March 11, 2021.

Nona was born in Mosinee, Wisconsin on September 30, 1932, to the late Orville and Evelyn Manley. She attended St. Paul Catholic School and Mosinee High School. She was united in marriage to the late Myron (“Ted”) Ostrowski on August 5, 1950 at St. Paul Catholic Church. After marriage, the family lived in Lake Tomahawk and Schofield, settling back in Mosinee.

Nona was a devoted wife and mother, as well as a friend to anyone she met. Her faith was key in her daily journey on this earth and was evident in all she did. She worked as a waitress at the Log Cabin and Princess Cafe, Mosinee IGA meat department, and receptionist at Trend Setters. She and Ted enjoyed their fishing trips “up north” and to Canada over their lifetime and parked their “Silver Bullet” camper up north in retirement.

Our mother will be remembered as a caring, kind soul who was willing to go above and beyond to help anyone. Her house was open to everyone and the coffee was always hot. She never knew a stranger and made every attempt to show the love of Jesus to whoever she met. Her Godly influence rippled through her life to young and old alike. She has left a huge void in her family’s lives and will be deeply missed until we all meet again.

She is survived by her children: daughters, Jacquline (Marcial) Serrano. Milwaukee; Janie (Dennis) Prazuch, Isanti, MN; Jodie (Jim) Brown, Weston; Patti Bobo, Milwaukee; and Teri (Robert) Eberhardy, Kronenwetter; and son, Teddy (Cathy) Ostrowski, Tomah; grandchildren: Nathan (Elizabeth) Prazuch, Mandy (Paul) Mueller, EvieLyn (Timothy) Larson, Brandon Brown, Crystle Blair, Earl Blair (Jose Salazar), Teddy, Jr., (Tiffany) Ostrowski, Tyler Ostrowski (LeAnn Karl), and Quinten and Trenten Eberhardy, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a brother, Keith (Barbara) Manley, and brother-in-law, Clair (Jeanette) Ostrowski; and many other relatives and friends.

Nona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and firstborn child, Debra Sue; a brother, Merlyn (MaryAnn) Manley, and sisters, Charlotte Ostrowski, and Sally (Russell) Borth.
