John Ostrowski

John F. Ostrowski, 71, Mosinee, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born Dec. 8, 1947, in Wausau, the son of the late John and Rose (Fedyczkowski) Ostrowski. .
He was employed as an electrician at the Mosinee Paper Corp. for many years. John felt happiest enjoying the simple things in life, whether it was gathering around the fire pit playing his guitar or taking in the warmth of the sun. Family and friends were everything to him and he enjoyed sharing time with them at Hodag, Packer games or participating in league bowling, shooting pool or trap shooting. He also had a passion for cars and enjoyed his ‘68 Corvette.
Survivors include a daughter, Colleen (Mike) Wasmundt, Wausau; three grandchildren, Nathan and Lauren Shnowske and Jacob Wasmundt; two brothers, Robert (Joyce) Ostrowski, Mosinee, and Paul Ostrowski, Madison; and a sister, Mary Woytasik, Rothschild.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com.
