Donna Mueller, 84, Mosinee, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at Acorn Hill Senior Living, Mosinee.
She was born March 25, 1934, in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Ruben and Eleanor (Stolper) Krohn. She married Frank Mueller on July 24, 1955, in Milwaukee. He died June 1, 2017.
After Donna graduated from high school in Wauwatosa, she attended Milton College. She met Frank during her freshman year while working on the Milton Fides yearbook. Frank was the yearbook Editor and Donna was the Assistant to the Editor. She and Frank were married a few years later and she happily became his assistant for the rest of his life. Soon after marriage, they purchased Donna’s father’s pharmacy and soda shoppe in Wauwatosa. She spoke fondly of her memories working in the soda shoppe. In 1973 they purchased the pharmacy in Mosinee and enjoyed raising their family in a small town.
Donna was a dedicated wife and mother. She was always there for her family; her family was her primary purpose. She was the backbone of the family, often working behind the scenes doing whatever needed to be done and never seeking credit or attention. She took pride in keeping her house clean, her family fed, the bills paid, and ensuring that everyone’s needs were met. Donna had a strong faith in Jesus and raised her children to know, honor and trust Him.
Survivors include one son, Michael F. Mueller, Mosinee; two daughters, Lynne (Douglas) Singkofer, Swisher, Iowa, and Jennifer (Matthew) Buenning, Mosinee; six grandchildren, Kaylie (Derek) Wright, Erica (Joshua) Steapp, Jacob (Brianna) Singkofer, and Bethany, Sarah, and Victoria Buenning; five great-grandchildren, Carter Wright, and Jordan, Kyler, Jayden, and William Steapp; and a brother, Karl Krohn, Roseville, Minn. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Mueller.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Church, Dancy. The Rev. Timothy Roser will officiate. Burial will be at Mosinee Cemetery, Mosinee. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
