Elnore L. Michalik, 83, Mosinee, passed away on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, at Wausau Manor.
She was born in Wausau on August 30, 1938, daughter to the late John and Alice (Houlette) Michalik. She graduated from Mosinee High School and went to work as a waitress at the Mosinee Café. After some time, she got hired at the Mosinee Bank, where she worked as an accountant until her retirement.
Elnore “Ellie” was known for her love of all birds and animals She could often be found outside feeding her birds and other wildlife too. She was a kind and caring friend and neighbor who was willing to help out anyway she could. If someone had a pet and had to leave town, Ellie was first in line to offer to care for it with lots of walks, belly rubs, and treats.
Ellie’s second love was a super Packer fan! Even through the bad years, she cheered the team on. She loved watching Brett Favre bring her Packers back to victory. Elnore was a lifelong and active member of the St Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee.
She is survived by her aunt, Helen Kell; niece, Amy Michalik; niece-in-law, April Michalik; great nephews, Carter and Paden; Goddaughter, Michele Donfris; and special friend, Shirley Meuret.
Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Walter and Edward (Edmund), sister-in-law, Susan, and nephew, Andrew Michalik.
A memorial service for Elnore will take place at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
