Michael Daniel Grandell

Michael D. Grandell, 35, Schofield, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Michael was born on Sept. 7, 1988, son of Richard Grandell and the late Sherri (Bauman) Grandell.

Michael was nick named "Spike" and was described as laid back and funny. He would do anything to tease his sisters and make them laugh. He enjoyed playing sports like baseball and hockey. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. His passion was riding his dirt bike, his dream was to be a motocross racer one day.

Michael will be sadly missed but will live on in the hearts of those closest to him.

Michael is survived by, his father, Richard, his sisters, Michelle (Alex) Zeka, and Denise (Gabe) Pospyhalla; nephews, Henry, Elijah, Abram and Kalan, niece Lola, Aunts Mary Shepard, Carol (Pete) Hedlund and Sue Grandell and his cousins.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Sherri, as well as his nephew Stanley Zeka.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.  Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Michael's family would like to express their gratitude to The Wausau Police Department, Beste Funeral Home and family members and friends who have assisted during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Michael's honor to offset the costs of the his memorial expenses. Donations can be made by check mailed to Michelle or Venmo @Michelle-Zeka
