Marshall Mikel Maguire

Marshall M. Maguire, 68, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2025, at his home.

Marshall was born on March 16, 1957, the son of the late Thomas “Cecil” Maguire and Irene “Rena” (Kaiser) Maguire.

Throughout his life, Marshall wore many professional hats. He was a skilled mechanic who owned and operated his own repair shop, served as a lead at SNE Enterprises, owned a bar, and later retired from Kafka Granite as a diesel mechanic. A real-life “Bob the Builder,” Marshall could fix just about anything with a motor. His talents, determination, and work ethic were admired by all who knew him.

Above all else, Marshall cherished his family. You could always count on him to be there when you needed him, no matter the situation. Known as a gentle giant, Marshall was kind to everyone he met and had a calm, easygoing presence that put others at ease. His passions included flying and building ultralight aircraft, watching movies, collecting and restoring vehicles, enjoying country life, and, of course, drinking Mountain Dew. He will be remembered for his dedication, calm and goofy personality, generosity, perseverance, and unwavering support for those he loved.

Marshall is survived by his children: Kelly Maguire; Amanda (JB) Bolton; Anthony Maguire; Kristy (Willy) Luedtke; and daughter-in-law Jaime Cheyka Maguire; and their mother, Karrie Maguire. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Avery, Presley, Ember, Wyatt, Waylon, and Cecilia; his siblings: Mitch (Schnook), Mundell (Donna), Marietta (Mark), Meldon (Karen), Marina, and Shannon (Vickie); his mother, Irene “Rena” Maguire; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jacon; his brothers, Marwood and Monty; and his father, Cecil.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Halder Community Hall, 135125 Halder Drive, Mosinee, WI 54455. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bestefh.com.
