Marion Marcis (Szczesny)

Marion Marcis, 96, died on Monday, July 25, 2016, at North Crest Assisted Living, Stevens Point.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Cisewski) Szczesny. She Married Theodore Marcis on Oct. 13, 1951, in the town of Carson. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2013.
Marion loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, baking, canning and cooking. She was also active in her church and enjoyed traveling to church conventions.
Survivors include a son, Sherman (Jean) Marcis, Mosinee; two grandchildren, Michelle (Aaron) Winowiski, and Robert Marcis, both of Mosinee; five great-grandchildren, Hawi, Misikir, Preston, Isaiah and Sophie; and a sister, Evelyn Mac Alister. She is preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Szczesny and a sister, Esther Martin
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Pastor Ed Bushlus will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services all at Restlawn Memorial Park’s chapel. Beste Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.bestefh.com
