Kenny Wayne Mansfield

July 12, 1942 — October 12, 2022

Kenny W Mansfield (80) passed Wednesday October 12 surrounded by family at Marshfield Medical Center Weston. Kenny leaves a loving wife of 39 years (Ellen) (“Lady” as he called her), First wife (Sharon Engstrom), five children (David (Kathy), Brian (Patty), Cynthia (Charlie), James, and Pamela (Nic), five grandchildren (Charlotte, Mathew (Dawn), Charles (Desi), Monica (Mark), and Kristy (Noah) and two great grandchildren (Ann and Alexis). Kenny also leaves five siblings (Melvin (Boots), Jerry (Dorothy), Mary (Bill), Denny, and Roy (Diane), along with many friends who were as close to family as he could ask. Those preceding him include his parents (Walter and Minnie Mansfield) and three siblings (Walter Jr, Juanita, and Barbara Jean) along with other close friends.

He was born in Missouri and moved to Illinois early in life. He built a career doing drywall & painting. Eventually building and owning his own business that he brought to central Wisconsin 30 years ago. Taking a lot of pride in being able to go for a drive and easily point out where and what he did at each home and business. Early in his life he found enjoyment tinkering with cars, golfing, and watching the Packers. Later in life having things slow down he found mowing the lawn to be a great way to pass the time, along with bird watching, and still waiting for Sunday to watch the Packers. Later yet he was a voracious reader often reading 2 or 3 books a week in between naps, still waiting for Sunday. Something that brought him joy throughout his life were his dogs. Between hunting and breeding labs with Ellen he loved his “babies.” During Packer games giving out biscuits when they scored calling out “Hey Hey Hey,” having the dogs came running for treats. The last few Sundays have not been the same without him and he is missed.

Do not be sad for Kenny instead have a good breakfast and follow it up with a small dish of ice cream. Vanilla if you are wondering. Maybe with just a little bit of chocolate syrup.

Condolences can be sent to.
