William Joseph "Bill" Maliszewski

William J. Maliszewski, 79, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023, at his home. William was born Sept. 29, 1943, the son of the late William F. and Helen (Dunaj) Maliszewski. He married Angeline Ryskiewicz on June 11, 1966, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. She survives.

William was a 1961 graduate of Mosinee High School. He served in the U.S.  Navy from 1961 to 1964. He was then hired at Mosinee Paper Corporation for which he worked at for 42 ½ years. He also served as treasurer on Union Local 316 for 17 years.

He pursued a career as a locksmith starting in 1973 and was the owner of Limited Locksmith Service LLC, in Mosinee. He enjoyed the many challenges that this job brought before him.

William enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and snowmobiling. He also served as treasurer for the KK Riders Snowmobiling Club for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and helping his sons with woodworking projects. His special interest was traveling in his Z4. His travels took him to Puerto Rico, Montreal, Canada, Jamaica, Hawaii, Western States in America, Alaska, and Cozumel, Mexico.

Survivors, besides his Wife, Angeline, include a son, Mark Maliszewski, Rhinelander; daughter-in-law, Sally Maliszewski, Mosinee; four granddaughters, Katelyn, Emily, Cassandra, and Kylie; a step-grandson, Ashton; a sister, Connie (Frank) Lewitzke, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Will.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate.
