With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we remember Lucille “Lucy” Delinsky—a fun loving, determined lady whose presence lit up every room she entered. Her faith was powerful enough to move mountains, her knowledge truly remarkable, and she carried a profound devotion to the rosary. Lucy cherished being surrounded by people and had an undeniable gift for turning ordinary moments into treasured memories to last a lifetime. Whether it was playing cards late into the night, dabbling in bingo or a bit of gambling, working on puzzles, or simply having “a good time,” Lucy thrived in the company of family and friends.
Lucy was born on June 29, 1929, to Joseph & Lucile Rucinski, one of ten lively children in a household that taught her resilience and determination. In 1946, she married Robert Bruehling, with whom she shared a brief but cherished life together until his passing in 1949. Not long after, Lucy met Jack Delinsky, they married in 1950 and built a life rooted in love, family, friendship, and service to their community. Together, they owned and operated the famously well-known Jack & Lucy’s Bar in Mosinee, WI, a beloved gathering place for decades. They remained devoted partners in life and business until Jack’s passing in 1985.
Lucy was a woman of deep connection and boundless energy. She delighted in family gatherings, found joy in many years of traveling as a "road warrior", and had a knack for making everyone smile and laugh, whether on purpose or not. Her laughter was contagious, her determination inspiring, and her zest and sass were unmatched.
Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucile Rucinski; her beloved husbands, Robert Bruehling and Jack Delinsky; her daughter, Lynette Fischer; her granddaughter, Katherine Goytowski; five brothers, Jerry, Joe, Robert, Dan, and Jim Rucinski; and sons in law Kurt Jacobs and Jerome Cherek.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Paulette (Cliff) Goytowski, Jeanette Cherek, Jack (Lilly) Delinsky, and Nanette (Dennis) Kohnhorst; her sisters: Marian Matsche, Darlene Konkol, Ceil Phillips, and Therese Jones; and a large, loving family of grandchildren: Jenifer Follis, Jeremy Merwin, Jerrel Hollar, Jonathon Olszewski, Timothy Goytowski, Warren Jacobs, Jaclyn Derby, Jacee Feit, Michael Delinsky, Caitlin Watts, Jack Delinsky, Amber Wilke, and Travis and Nicholas Kohnhorst, as well as many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Lucy’s life was rich with joy, laughter, and love. She leaves us with countless memories, lessons in resilience, and the reminder to always make time for fun, family, and friendship.
