Linda Marie Meis

Linda M. Meis, 69 died peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Mount View Healthcare Center in Wausau.

She was born January 6, 1955, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Donald and Bernice (Bluma) Meis. As the oldest of 10 children, Linda was a great help to both her parents in the care of her siblings. After high school she went onto be a nurses aide and was a very compassionate and loving caregiver to all the patients she served. She especially loved socializing and playing bingo with them.

Linda had a smile that could light up a room and a heart of gold. One of her favorite pastimes was knitting. She would often knit gifts for family and friends as a way to express her love for them.

Linda was strong in her Christian faith and has been called back home to be with her Lord and Savior, where she can now rest in His loving arms for all eternity.

Survivors include her siblings; Alan Meis, Mosinee, Elaine (Larry) Wierzba, Rosholt, Rose (Pat) Malak, Byron Center, MI, Bruce (Lynn) Meis, Mosinee, and Scott Meis, Mosinee; as well as many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by Marsha Zoilkowski, Dale Meis, Dennis Meis and Charlene Meis.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee.  The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate.  The burial will take place at Mosinee Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service, all at the Funeral Home.  Online condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
