Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Kage (Truax)

Elizabeth “Betty” Kage, 85, Mosinee, died peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center, Weston.

Betty was born June 14, 1937, in Mosinee, the daughter of the late Carrol and Jennie (Houlette) Truax. She married George Allen and together they had four children, George preceded her in death in Oct. 1969. Betty met and eventually married Roger Kage on Dec. 24, 1970; he survives.

She worked throughout her life, mostly housekeeping jobs. Betty and Roger had a place up north where she enjoyed the outdoors. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. Everyone loved her cooking. In her younger years she loved to drive fast and wasn’t afraid to race at a red light. She enjoyed time with her Grandchildren, walking and had several dogs over the years.

Besides her husband Roger, Betty is survived by her children, Robert Allen, Dennis Allen, and Jim (Beth) Allen; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her first husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, George Allen II, and 4 of her siblings.

Per Betty’s wishes, no formal services will take place. Her family will celebrate her life in a private ceremony to be held at a later date. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
