On Sunday October 5, Joe Pallen peacefully passed through the heavenly gates after a courageous battle against cancer. He was 78 years old and born on January 23, 1947 in Polonia Wisconsin. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and had a passion for fishing, hunting, martial arts, and cheering for the Packers and Brewers. He married his beloved wife Sharon on August 30, 1969 at St. Adalbert’s Church in Rosholt, WI.
He was blessed to be surrounded by so many family members during his final days. All of his six grandchildren came together and were able to say their goodbyes with many hugs, kisses, and letters.
Before he passed, he gave us the greatest gift of all, a moment of clarity to be able to tell us how much he truly loved all of us. He found the strength to smile several times and say over and over, “I love you all so much.”
We were all lucky enough to have time with him to say our goodbyes and be by his side. We truly witnessed the power of love and the strong bond that our family has with each other. He went peacefully to Heaven with his bride, Sharon, of 56 years holding his hand. Nothing will be the same but we are all lucky to have had this strong role model in our lives. Farewell for now, Joe, but not forever. We love and miss you very much.
Joe’s wishes were to be cremated and to have a private celebration of life for family and close friends.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, daughter Rachel (Jamison) Morrisey of Little Rock, AR, son Josh (Julie) of Kronenwetter, six wonderful grandchildren (Cody, Connor, Caden, Kendra, Christian, Katie), brother Clark (Betty), sisters Diane (Ray) Delikowski, Darlene, and Dawn Pallen-Haynes.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Joe Sr. and Josephine and his older brother, Bob.
