Jeffrey "Lenny" Alan Maly

September 15, 1958 — February 26, 2023

Mosinee

Jeffrey “Lenny” Maly, 64, Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, with his family by his side, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Lenny was born on September 15, 1958, son of Leonard and Charlotte (McHugh) Maly, the second child of seven, and the oldest of the boys.

Jeff had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish, and putz in the woods cutting firewood for his homemade wood burner. He loved the challenge of scavenging for “rusty gold” in which he would create unique yard art that he loved to share with family and friends which they happily displayed in their yards. Give Lenny a challenge and he could figure it out! He could fix a chainsaw that was ready for the garbage, master a family secret recipe for annual sausage making, to restoring an old vehicle that was in pieces - including his 1946 Chevy Pickup truck that he loved to drive during old car rides with friends.  However, Jeff’s biggest passion was spending quality time with family and friends, but most of all, time with his best buddy “Dude” and his forever love of his life for 37 years, Mary Jo.

Jeff was a graduate of Mosinee High School. On May 25, 1985, Jeff and Mary Jo Sitko were united in marriage at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Peplin. He was employed for 42 years at Mosinee Paper Mill where he retired in 2020 as a Machine Tender of #1 Paper Machine.

Besides his wife Mary Jo, Jeff is survived by his parents Leonard and Charlotte Maly, siblings: Linda (Barry Ryan) Maly, Jerry (Pam) Maly, Jim (Mary) Maly, Laurie (John) Olson, Debbie (Scott Brainard) Maly, and Mark (Terry) Maly. Additional survivors include his Mother in Law, Marcella Sitko, Sisters in law, Kathy (Randy) Grieser and Yvonne Sitko and many nieces and nephews. Jeff is proceeded in death by his Brother in Law, Kenneth Sitko and Father in Law, Edward P. Sitko.
