Jean Ann Marcis

Jean A. Marcis, 72, Mosinee, passed away on July 4, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield.

Jean was born on May 22, 1954, in Wausau, WI, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Benz) Blumenstein. She married Sherman Marcis on October 12, 1974, he survives.

Jean graduated from UW Stevens Point in 1987 as a Medical Technologist and retired from Marshfield Clinic in 2019.

She enjoyed vacationing with family, water aerobics, gardening, canning vegetables, reading, quilting, and spending time on Lake DuBay riding on the pontoon boat, fishing, and swimming at the beach.

Even in their grief, Jean’s family celebrates the beautiful certainty of her faith, knowing that Jesus Christ has welcomed her home for eternity.

Jean is survived by her husband, Sherman; children: Michelle (Aaron) Winowiski, and Robert Marcis; grandchildren: Hawi Winowiski, Misikir Winowiski, Preston (Lily) Winowiski, Isaiah (Kaitlin) Winowiski, and Sophie Winowiski; great-grandchildren: Sparrow and Evangeline Winowiski; brother, Walter (Jeri) Blumenstein, and sister, Joanne Pryga. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Delena Blumenstein, brother, Ronald Blumenstein, and brother-in-law, Chet Pryga.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Son-in-law, Pastor Aaron Winowiski will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service, all at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Mosinee Cemetery at a later date.
