Cecelia Marie Iczkowski (Wise)

May 26, 1933 — April 22, 2016

We said goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Cecelia Marie Iczkowski on Friday, April 22, 2016, due to complications from heart bypass surgery at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Mom was born May 26, 1933, in the town of Guenther, to Clara and Joseph Wise. She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1952 and was so happy when her grandsons and great-grandchildren started attending. Her life revolved around family and all those she treated as family. Her loving heart and kindness touched many.

She grew up surrounded by her siblings, Leroy (Margie), Leona (Richard), Viola (Ray), Wilma (Robin), Sarah (Richard), Alice (Ben), Archie (Rosemary), Chuck (Judy) and Stella (Tom).

On June 15, 1953, she married the love of her life, Willard Iczkowski, at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church in Bevent. They were married for 40 years when he passed away on Oct. 26, 1994.

Out of their love, six children were born, Deborah (Mike) Maslowski, Jerry (Laurie) Iczkowski, Linda (Jack) Burm, Lois (Russ) Bachinski and John (Carol) Iczkowski. She lost a son, Bobby, in 1975 at the age of 19.

Mom and Dad loved being grandparents, surrounded and playing with those kids, Jocelyn Burm, Hiedi (Jeremy) Omernik, Jenny (Aaron) Zogata, Nicole Burm, Adam (Lara) Bachinski, Bobby Maslowski, Alyssa (Terry) Fields, Erica Bachinski, Bobby (Melanie) Iczkowski, Jeff Iczkowski, Megan (Jered Kern) Iczkowski, Dustin Iczkowski and Dylan Iczkowski.

And our Mom was over the moon when those great-grandbabies arrived, Preston, Luke, Rhylee, Rayna, Reed, Jessie, Stanley, Kollan, Kamdenn, Jaydn and Jazzelyn, and those furry grandbabies.

On the other side waiting with open arms and hearts for her are her husband, Willard, her son, Bobby, precious angel grand and great-grandbabies, and angel great grandsons, Keygin and Cole.

The compassion she showed her family, friends and everyone she touched, she also showed it to the residents she cared for in the 20 years she worked at the Portage County Health Care Center, will be greatly missed.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Burial will be in St. Ladislaus Cemetery, Bevent. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the funeral home.
