Dr. Charles Norman "Cub" Heike

August 2, 1952 — October 24, 2022

Dr. Charles “Cub” Norman Heike, 70, of Mosinee passed away in the place he loved, surrounded by friends, on Monday, October 24, 2022.

He was born August 2, 1952, in Seymour, WI, to the late Norman and Wava (Domke) Heike. In 1970, he graduated from Seymour High School. After working construction, he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1977 with his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He then moved to Mosinee, WI, to establish his own chiropractic clinic. He practiced there until his retirement in 2011.

Cub was married to Ann Lyngholm from 1976 until her passing in 1999. In 2000 he met Jill (Ford), whom he married three years later, becoming a step-father to three (stunning, beautiful and intelligent) daughters in the process.

Cub always maintained a strong passion for chiropractic and his patients and was held in high regard by the many patients for whom he cared. To this day, stories are often told about how he was able to care so gently for some of the most fragile patients, despite his strength. He also loved hunting, being outdoors, and spending time at Cub Lake with family, friends, and especially his nephew, Lief, who always held a special place in his heart. We know he was always extremely grateful for the connection that they shared. Cub also enjoyed spending winters in Arizona with his wife and good friends, crafted a mean Bloody Mary, and made an even more delicious prime rib. Cub felt time spent with his children and grandchildren was always time well spent. He will be deeply and greatly missed by many.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jill Heike; his mother-in-law, Joan Lyngholm; step-daughters Jacie (Nathan) Cihlar, Brianna (Adam Olson) Baars, and Brittani (Brian Fiorucci) Baars; his eight grandchildren: Athena and Ahnen Cihlar, Braxtyn, Brylee and Bryce Olson, Tatum, Hayden and Layla Fiorucci; his sisters Leanne (Jerry) Riste and Ranee (Stephen) Mory; and his brothers-in-law David (Teresa) and Steve Lyngholm. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, their children, and many friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Norman and Wava Heike; his former wife, Ann Lyngholm; his father-in-law Richard Lyngholm; and two sisters—Karen Denito and Lauretta (James R.) Dennis.

A gathering of friends and family will take place at Beste Funeral Home on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
