Anton Frank "Tony" Fons

Anton “Tony” F. Fons, 75, of Mosinee died on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Avon, MI on September 4, 1941 to the late Anton and Frances (Cuba) Fons. Tony married Margaret Wells on November 25, 1988. She survives.
Tony was an avid outdoorsman, working to spend every moment he could out in the woods hunting all varieties of game, or on the water fishing for anything that would bite. Tony was a devoted family man who loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors, besides his wife Margaret, include; his children, Lance Fons, Brandon (Valerie) Fons, both of Edger, Jerry Allen, Wausau, and John Samples, Mosinee; one daughter, Sherry (Richard) Gatewood, Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Samantha Fons, Kelsey Fons, Michael Chang, Kenneth Allen, Logan Allen, Conner Allen, Jackob Gatewood, Lucas Gatewood, Parker Samples, Carter Samples, and Calvin Samples; brothers, Ben Fons, Atlanta, GA, and Leonard Fons, Fort Meyers, FL; and a sister, Frances Szczesniak, Rosemont, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
We will celebrate Tony’s life with a gathering of friends and family from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Online condolences may be made at www.bestefh.com.
