Bernice Fochs

May 24, 1927 — December 9, 2017

Bernice A. Fochs, 90, Mosinee, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Mosinee.

She was born May 24, 1927, in Knowlton, the daughter of the late Paul and Martha (Kujawski) Krieske. She married Carl Fochs on Aug. 23, 1947, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. He died May 10, 2010.

She attended Mosinee High School, worked in Chicago after graduation for the U.S. Treasury Department and later in local offices including the Mosinee Times. Bernice was a full-time mother and homemaker, enjoying her children and home, and was involved in various organizations over the years, holding memberships in St. Loretta’s Circle of St. Monica’s Society and the American Legion Auxiliary 107. She also enjoyed photography, often taking pictures of weddings and anniversaries for family and friends. Bernice enjoyed spending time at their cottage “up north”, cake decorating, and traveling, especially her and Carl’s two trips to Hawaii; they found it truly “paradise”.
