Lorraine Grace Erdrich (Sendziak)

Lorraine Grace Erdrich age 92 passed away on June 10, 2021. Lorraine was born December 10, 1928 in Schofield Wisconsin to Chester and Stella Sendziak. Lorraine was a graduate of Wausau High School.

Lorraine married Fritz Erdrich on July 5, 1952 in Bismark, ND., they recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. Lorraine was a devoted, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great-aunt and Godmother. Lorraine was a homemaker most of her married life. Lorraine loved her community of Schofield. She fulfilled her civic duty of serving on the Schofield library board, was an alderman, and served on the election commission for Schofield. Eventually, Lorraine and Fritz moved to Bradenton Florida where they enjoyed golf on a daily basis, always returning to Schofield for the summer to enjoy the Wausau Country Club where she was a member since the age of 14. Lorraine loved golf! Tuesdays were always ladies’ day at the club, and she never let anything get in the way of that. Lorraine shared this hobby with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Besides golf, one thing Lorraine was known for was her interest in her children, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She always loved to hear what they were up to in their lives, always supported their passions, and truly believed in them. Lorraine along with her husband attended various sporting events, and school related activities that the grandchildren and great grandchildren were participating in. The love that Lorraine had for her family was apparent to everyone that met her, she had such pride in the accomplishments of her family.
Lorraine was a member of St Therese Church, and member of Saints Peter and Paul Church (Bradenton Fl.).

Lorraine is survived by daughters Mary Hanz (Jeff), Anne O’Dell (Jeff), sons John (Kris), Paul (LaNell), 8 grandchildren Katrina Treutelaar (Justin), Jay Hanz (Annie), Aaron Erdrich, Emily Drane (Andrew), Ryan O’Dell (Kristina), Alexis Handel, Brice Erdrich, Shai Erdrich, along with 6 great grandchildren and was proceeded in death by her husband Otto “Fritz” Erdrich (2021), parents Chester and Stella Sendziak, brother Charles, and sister Joyce Stepanik.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 113 W. Kort Street, Schofield, Wis. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church. The Rev. Joseph Albert will officiate. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
