Edward August Parker Jr

Edward A. Parker Jr., 70, passed away suddenly on November 20, 2025, at his home.

He was born on January 23, 1955, son of the late Edward and Charleen (Wasniewski) Parker. He married Marie E. Haymes on September 11, 1982, she preceded him in death on May 4, 2015.

He was a true outdoorsman who found his greatest joy in the woods and on the water. Whether hunting, fishing, or competing in local tournaments, he embraced every adventure with enthusiasm. At home, he cherished quiet evenings watching cowboy westerns, especially his all-time favorite “McLintock!” usually with a pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups close by. He loved spending time with his family and took tremendous pride in watching his children grow. Known for his unforgettable storytelling and steady supply of humorous dad jokes, he brought laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed gardening and canning, and tackling any project that came his way, often calling himself “a jack of all trades and a master of none,” though those who knew him would say he mastered far more than he gave himself credit for.

Edward is survived by his children, Wesley Parker, Jason Parker, Destiny Parker, Michael (Karen) Polenica, and Hope (Jamie) Montgomery; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marie Fobes, Joe Parker, James parker, Lenora Grable and Vern Olson. Besides his parents and wife Marie, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Scarlet Polenica, siblings, Patricia Parker, Laverne Parker and Charleen Parker.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Pastor Ken Moberg will officiate. Burial will take place in the Mosinee Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 1, from 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., and again Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the service, all at the Funeral Home.
