Doris Marie Novitzke

Doris M. Novitzke, 90, passed away peacefully at home in Milwaukee, surrounded by her family, on December 4, 2025. 

She was born on Sept. 10, 1935, in the Town of Edgar, Wisconsin. Doris was the daughter of the late William and Magdalena (Fochs) Artus. Doris married James Novitzke on May 16, 1955, at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar, he preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2022.

Doris is survived by her children, Kathy (Robert) Belling, West Allis, Dale Novitzke, West Bend, and Carla (David) Schultz, Pewaukee; five grandchildren, Keri (Eric) Larson, Paulette (Frank) Leahy, Ryan Schultz, Michael (Luke) Schulstad, and Steven (Fiancé Hannah Danca) Schultz; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Larson, Joshua Larson, and Andrew Leahy; one brother-in law, Marlin (Mary) Novitzke, Edgar; and sister-in-law, Margaret Artus, and other relatives and friends. 

Besides her parents and her husband James, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Conrad, Evelyn, Adeline, Eleanor, Mable, Gladys, William Jr, Violet (Tiny), and Myron (Mike). 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 12, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. The Rev. Don Bosco will officiate.  Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service, all at the church.
