Diane M. Iczkowski “Busha” passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous 3-1/2 year battle with ALS. She had the most positive outlook on life and would not let anything get her down, fighting with faith, courage, and strength.
Diane was born October 4, 1949, to Joseph and Anna (Gburek) Rucinski. She grew up in the town of Guenther and graduated from Mosinee High School in 1967. She married LeRoy Iczkowski on October 3, 1970.
Nothing was more important to Diane than family, friends, faith, reading Amish books, and the Packers. Her love was unconditional and something we will cherish and take with us forever. Her kindness, her sense of humor, and quick wit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a heart of gold, and we will miss her more than words can say.
Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, LeRoy, their children Kevin (Heather) and Jeff (Sam), her grandchildren Darin, Logan, Addison, and Kevin, and great grandchild, August. She has 4 siblings: Gertie Buelow, Anton (Jane) Rucinski, Grace (Albin) Cisewski, and Theresa Kussman. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents (Joseph and Anna), 7 brothers: John, Casmir, Steve, Edward, Frankie, Louis, and Joseph, and 3 sisters: Elizabeth, Regina, and Anna.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Pine Meadows in Mosinee for their amazing care and compassion. We would like to thank the Compassus Hospice Care team for making Diane’s journey as comfortable as possible. Our thanks to the ALS association of WI, UW Madison, and the central WI ALS support group for all the help, support and assistance navigating the ALS disease. To everyone who helped guide Diane and our family on this journey, we thank you all, without everyone’s backing, Diane’s difficult passage to the end was handled with grace and dignity.
