Diane Mary Grzesiak

Diane M. Grzesiak, 66, of Mosinee, died Monday, May 20, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, with her family by her side.

 

She was born Aug. 27, 1957, the daughter of the late Alex and Regina (Kesy) Emmerich. She married Edward L. Grzesiak Jr. on May 14, 1977, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Peplin, WI.

 

Diane was always a mother and grandmother first. She enjoyed the little things in life to the fullest. She was a strong, determined, unselfish woman who never wanted the attention. Diane was family centered, always showed perseverance throughout her life, and always kept pushing forward, even in her last days.  

 

She enjoyed cooking and baking with her family as well as reading, camping, going to crafts shows, car shows, crocheting homemade blankets, berry picking, family cookouts, and going to her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and concerts. Spending time with her grandchildren Thomas, Anna, and Penny was one of her greatest joys. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.

 

Diane had a long career in customer service, after starting as a cashier at her father Alex’s Shell Service Station, she also worked at Lietz’s Shell Convenience Store for many years before retiring in 2023. She took pride and enjoyed conversing with customers every day. She always appreciated everyone’s thoughtfulness and made sure to reciprocate it to others she met, whether it was an extra thank you or a written letter.

 

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Edward Jr., their three children and three grandchildren. Edward L. Grzesiak III (Tina); Thomas and Anna Grzesiak, Mark A. Grzesiak (Amber Legenza), and Rebecca L. Rosekrans (Andrew); Penelope Rosekrans. Diane is also survived by her brother David J. Emmerich (Debbie), their four children Nicole, Denise, DJ, Jamie and families, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where at 7:00 p.m. there will be a rosary service at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Visitation will be again Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements.
