Craig Lee Bucknell

Craig L. Bucknell, 57, Mosinee, passed away peacefully at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on May 11, 2023.  He slipped away while surrounded by family and loved ones.

Craig was born Sept. 4, 1965, in Wausau, son of Patricia (Lee) Nechuta and the late Lloyd Bucknell.  He married Jennifer Wells on June 13, 1997, she preceded him in death on August 18, 2020.

Craig had a big heart, he cared for everyone around him, always trying to make them laugh at a joke or story.  Jennifer and Craig were upset when they found out they could not have kids of their own, so they spoiled family members and close friends’ children every chance they got.  He was an animal lover, always taking phenomenal care of his dogs and cats, that truly were members of the family.  Craig loved history, he and Jennifer would visit museums and historical sites every chance they got.  Spending time with family and friends was the thing that brought him the most happiness, he will be missed by all.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia (Daniel) Nechuta; brother, Kevin (LeRoy) Bucknell, MN; as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer, and his father, Lloyd.

A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee.  Sharing stories and visiting will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
