Carrie Jean Koskey

Carrie Jean Koskey, 62, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Junction City on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

Carrie was born June 16, 1964, in Marshfield, the daughter of Richard Smith and the late Shirley Smith. On April 26, 1985, she married the love of her life, James Koskey. Together they spent their life working hard and raising their beloved son, Kurtis Koskey.

When they weren’t working, Carrie and James loved spending their time together, whether snowmobiling, boating on Lake DuBay, having campfires at their home, or cuddling with their dogs. Carrie had a big personality and an even bigger love for her friends and family. She especially enjoyed celebrating their birthdays and prided herself on being the first one to wish everyone a “Happy Birthday” on their special day.

Carrie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James Koskey of Junction City; her son, Kurtis Koskey of Mosinee; and her father, Richard Smith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Smith; and her mother- and father-in-law, Marie and Robert Koskey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26th, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee. Visitation will continue Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at Our Saviors National Church in Mosinee from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Father Marion Talaga will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
