Carol Jean Daul

Carol J. Daul, 64, Mosinee, peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, surrounded by her family.

Carol was born on March 19, 1962, in Marshfield, daughter of Fred and Mavis (Foster) Johnson. She graduated from Mosinee High School. She married Neil Daul on June 27, 1980, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder, where they had 46 wonderful years together.

Carol had a way of making the people around her feel loved, welcomed, and at home, and the memories she created with her family and friends will be treasured forever.

Carol loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed traveling to the mountains of Montana, gardening, crafting/thrifting, going to NASCAR races, watching her kids/grandkids at their sporting events and spending time at the cabin. She loved making maple syrup, gathering with her girl friends and enjoying the outdoors (fishing, pontoon rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and many other adventures).

Carol worked at Marshfield Clinic for 30 years where she made many lifelong friendships.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband Neil, their children, son Jason Daul (Laura) and daughter Jodi Hotchkiss (Eric); grandchildren, Jaylen Daul, Hunter Halbesleben, Austin and Aiden Hotchkiss; siblings, Gary Johnson (Darlene), Diane Paul (Joe) and Terry Johnson (Christine); as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Johnson; her mother and father-in-law, Betty and Leo Daul; and her brother-in-law, Mike Daul.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s name can be directed to Breast Cancer Research.

A Christian Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 14, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. Reverend Don Bosco will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m., until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
